The HLB Network Celebrates Community Day

12 June 2021

HLB Germany shows its social commitment: On 4 June, the global network of independent audit, tax and advisory firms organised this year's international HLB Community Day.  This project for a good cause was carried out this year across 17 locations. Celebrated throughout Germany, the day was all about bees. The network had set itself the objective of planting 1,000 square metres of flower meadow for native bees with the help of its community.

Malo Kröning from HLB Germany is also excited about this commitment: “Voluntary work is an important social component, particularly in these special times when many areas of social life are facing major challenges”. The aim of the project is to contribute to domestic environmental conservation. The joint project of the HLB offices is also intended to strengthen the sense of togethernessamong the various law firms, with the Coronavirus pandemic having put a stop to other network possibilities for meeting.

The project was implemented with the involvement of HLB employees, clients and their community under the guiding principles of #blumenwiese, #wersätdiemeistenqudaratmeter and #jederquadratmeterzählt. The project involved members being given 5,000 packs of flower seeds which were distributed to school classes or kindergartens on site.

The flower seed packs were sown in the wild or in gardens. The campaign was recorded by a photographer. “Even in turbulent times, it's important to preserve the native bees' habitat. We are pleased that we, as the HLB network, were able to make our contribution”, added Malo Kröning.

#HLBCommunities Day is an initiative from the globally active network HLB International, based in London, which also includes HLB Germany, currently with 22 member companies. On this day, partners and employees around the globe get involved in social projects at their site.
